Vedic Triputis & Quintuplications #91
If the subject of numbers has any real mystery to unfold, it is to be found in eastern cosmology, not western mathematics. It is linked mostly to triplets and quintuplications that all connect inward to philosophy, and from there to spirituality. In alambanic fashion, the awakening soul’s most important preliminary task is to take account of all that is around him/her. But unlike the ordinary soul who sees, desires, covets, grasps, then becomes attached to all that is beheld, striving to own it outright, the yogi/yogini begins to search for the connections between all outer manifestations after meditating upon on all things individually, and this is done devoid of the slightest desire to possess. The secret of connectivity, once observed arightly, lays bare the essence of any given thing, and perceiving this, the seeker is free. Thus, connectivity reveals oneness,
and that the secret of oneness infills everything. Thereafter, one only has to “sit up straight” and notice.
The Three Eternal Gateways #132
As Vedanta, in its qualified form, states: All beings will be saved; all will see God. That is because the souls of all beings are Eternal, that is, the one Soul in all, called Atman, is perfect and indivisible, even when it seems to take many forms. In the taking of these forms, beings pass in and out of the embodied condition through channels, nadis, or gateways, as it were. This is a strictly inward process and has nothing to do with outer space. This dharma chart puts this cosmic process in terms of those who follow Truth dur ing their lifetimes, those who abandon Truth, and those who have realized their ever-perfect nature and embody to teach it to others. Two sets of four doorways are also illustrated here, so as to inform aspiring souls of the reasons for and mediums utilized via people’s choices and decisions in the rebirth process.
3 Bondages & 3 Liberations #212
The usage of key Sanskrit words in the Vedanta philosophy illuminate the life and mind of seekers of Truth. For instance, moksha and samsara, namely freedom and bondage, are both veiled from the gaze and thinking of humanity in general. That is, many do not know they are actually in bondage, and of those who do, they have little idea of the possibility of gaining freedom. This wisdom chart from Lord Kapila’s teachings in Sankhya Yoga make all this perfectly clear by revealing the three types of bondage, along with the three types of freedom. Via such an informative teaching, living beings can discover what binds them, and follow through to select the mode of practice that will set them on the path to freedom.
Lord Brahma’s Universal Projection #83
The dharmic teachings coming from ancient Vedic times are replete with wisdom concerning both God with Form, and God beyond form — what was termed Saguna Brahman and Nirguna Brahman in those times. Importantly, the connections between the two, i.e., God with attributes and God beyond attributes, proved the whole point of Absolute Existence to the ancients, described then as a single state of Consciousness that possessed the ability to bifurcate into two, then express Itself through the many — all without ever separating Its Essence in any way. Thus, when even gods and illumined souls take births in the outer realm with humankind, the intrinsic oneness of all paths and peoples gets well acknowledged under the auspice of Lord Brahma.
