Triloka — The Three Worlds #291
One of India’s primary and basic teachings along the dharmic trajectory is the oft-mentioned triputi of the three worlds. Usually this refers to the physical world, the elemental world, and the heavenly worlds — often termed bhur, bhuvar, and svahar in the tradition. With regard to this designation there are four deeper/higher worlds too. The three worlds grab most of the attention, however, due to them being places of strife and tension, despite their external beauty. They also form the hub of all transmigration as well. This wisdom chart expands these three into other triputis and designations, helping the seeking soul to comprehend the complex nature of all realms that it may sojourn in.
