Vedic Triputis & Quintuplications #91
If the subject of numbers has any real mystery to unfold, it is to be found in eastern cosmology, not western mathematics. It is linked mostly to triplets and quintuplications that all connect inward to philosophy, and from there to spirituality. In alambanic fashion, the awakening soul’s most important preliminary task is to take account of all that is around him/her. But unlike the ordinary soul who sees, desires, covets, grasps, then becomes attached to all that is beheld, striving to own it outright, the yogi/yogini begins to search for the connections between all outer manifestations after meditating upon on all things individually, and this is done devoid of the slightest desire to possess. The secret of connectivity, once observed arightly, lays bare the essence of any given thing, and perceiving this, the seeker is free. Thus, connectivity reveals oneness,
and that the secret of oneness infills everything. Thereafter, one only has to “sit up straight” and notice.
6 Proofs of the Purusha #213
The Purusha, the all-intelligent, self-luminous eternal principle, is master over all of nature, called Prakriti. At least that is the way it should be. If the insentient material principle is taken to be the source of all instead, then the Purusha falls from its rightful status, and bondage occurs, along with suffering. To keep this from happening, the dharma teachings in Sankhya Yoga are transmitted in order to show the soul its own innate divinity, using six undeniable proofs that are both exceedingly powerful and deeply convincing.
The Twelve Higher Spandas of Shaivism #143
In early times in India, when it as called Bharat — the Eternal Land — Lord Kapila did his inner homework through intense scrutiny of all that lies both inside and outside the individual’s marvelous province. He came up with the Twenty-Four Cosmic Principles that not only effectively distilled and mapped out these two terrains of a human being’s relative consciousness, but were also borrowed by so many other systems of Cosmology and Philosophy — both inside and outside of Mother India. Shaivism was one of these, with its keen and authentic worship of Lord Siva. To the Cosmic Principles of the Sankhya system of Lord Kapila, the Shaivites added twelve deeper or higher levels of vibration, completing a grand 36 Cosmic Principle tier that opened the aspiring sadhika’s exploration of the “kingdoms of heaven within” to subtleties unknown to most seekers of Enlightenment
The Sacred Doctrine of Conjunctions #149
Connections are precious, especially in a world whose living beings leave so much of existence in a disconnected state. In ancient India, the seers of Truth looked to see clearly, via introspection and meditation, then moved to make connections of all and sundry around them and within them. Aspects of nature, matters involving acts and deeds, and mainly, thoughts that seemed random and meaningless —all were brought together into satisfying union. This wisdom chart shows some of the main conjunctions that were important to the rishis, and which today will bring deeper meaning to life in the world as well.
